For every man who’s wondering if there’s still hope
I am Steve and this is a snapshot of my story.
If you’re reading this, you probably know what it feels like to keep up appearances while something inside you is falling apart.
I know that life too, because I lived it.
The Crash and the Rescue
At 54, I hit a wall.
I call it the Father Eclipse.
For decades, I had confused the face of my earthly father with the face of God. Even with a seminary degree, I didn’t understand grace - not really. It took pulling away, getting quiet, and letting God reintroduce Himself as Father - not critic, not judge - before freedom finally started to take root.
That’s when everything changed. For the first time, I didn’t have to earn love. I could finally live as a Beloved Son.
A Story Like Yours
For years, I did everything right.
Church. Marriage. Ministry. Work.
I checked all the boxes and said all the right words.
But behind it all, I was lost. I was chasing approval, living to perform, and hiding wounds I didn’t even know I had.
On the outside, I looked strong. On the inside, I was exhausted, angry, and empty.
It took my marriage breaking down, my family confronting me, and a long road of therapy and grace to finally see what was really going on.
Why I Do This Work
Most men are just like I was. They love their families, they work hard, they try to do what’s right, but they’re living from a wound they’ve never known they had.
They’re angry, anxious, numb, or disconnected, and they can’t explain why. So they hide it.
Until the pretending stops working.
That’s where Bringing Kingdom comes in. It’s not a program or a plan. It’s presence. I walk with men the same way others once walked with me - helping them face truth, heal, and live loved.
If any part of this sounds like your story, you’re not alone. You don’t have to keep pretending.
